Availability:Out of stock

A 230 V single-phase capacitor discharge (CD) stud welding machine for fixing small studs and pins to thin metal.

The Ralli Wolf CD208 is a capacitor discharge stud welder for fast, clean stud fixing in sheet metal fabrication. In capacitor discharge stud welding, a capacitor or bank of capacitors is charged to a set voltage, and the weld is made by discharging the capacitor across the contact between the stud and the workpiece. This type of stud welding is used to a large degree for smaller studs, and particularly for studs on thin metal members. It suits thin gauge parent materials that are flat and clean, giving strong welds with minimal marking. The weld is made from one side, so there is no drilling, tapping, or rivet on the back of the panel. The 230 V AC supply means it runs from a normal workshop socket. It is made for sheet metal fabricators, appliance and enclosure makers, nameplate and bracket fixing, and workshops that need a neat fastening method.

Key Features

  • Capacitor discharge process: very short weld time, with little heat on the workpiece
  • Minimal marking on the back of thin sheet
  • 230 V AC supply: runs from a normal single-phase workshop supply
  • No drilling, tapping, or rivets needed
  • Suited to small studs and pins on thin, flat, clean metal
  • Compact machine for workshop use

Application

  • Welding studs and pins onto thin sheet metal
  • Fixing brackets, handles, and nameplates on appliances and enclosures
  • Panel, cabinet, and switchgear manufacturing
  • Kitchen equipment and stainless steel fabrication
  • Automotive and light fabrication work
  • Production lines needing quick, repeatable stud fixing
