Have a question?
A 230 V single-phase capacitor discharge (CD) stud welding machine for fixing small studs and pins to thin metal.
The Ralli Wolf CD208 is a capacitor discharge stud welder for fast, clean stud fixing in sheet metal fabrication. In capacitor discharge stud welding, a capacitor or bank of capacitors is charged to a set voltage, and the weld is made by discharging the capacitor across the contact between the stud and the workpiece. This type of stud welding is used to a large degree for smaller studs, and particularly for studs on thin metal members. It suits thin gauge parent materials that are flat and clean, giving strong welds with minimal marking. The weld is made from one side, so there is no drilling, tapping, or rivet on the back of the panel. The 230 V AC supply means it runs from a normal workshop socket. It is made for sheet metal fabricators, appliance and enclosure makers, nameplate and bracket fixing, and workshops that need a neat fastening method.
Key Features

Safety Note: For use by trained operators only. Wear eye protection, gloves, and flame-resistant clothing, and keep the work area free of flammable material. Connect to a correctly earthed 230 V supply. The machine stores charge in capacitors, so switch it off and let it discharge before opening or servicing it. Keep people with pacemakers away from the welding circuit
